Cloud computing is an exciting new area for our research team and partners. With the whole world already connected through desktop, laptops and mobile clients its a natural extension that we try to use this existing connectivity for our wearable sensors.
Cloud computing enables us to take a single wearable sensor and connect it to other sensors as well as to resources and clients. Thus rather than a record and download sensor, we now have an active, wearable sensor who's data is available in near real time.
The data processing algorythms that we have previously developed are now available to use online adn in near real time. Video data can also be streamed as well.
For the end user this means an much more streamlined interaction with the sensors. It exciting because now our analysis packages need to work in a real time run mode.
