Dear Colleagues, ISEA members, and past and future conferees!

 

April has been a busy month for planning The Engineering of Sport 9 conference and it is shaping up to be an excellent conference with great technical presentations from authors all around the world.  I am very pleased to announce that John Brenkus (host and producer of ESPN Sports Science), John Goff (physics professor and author of Gold Metal Physics: The Science of Sports), and Bruce Jahnke (Director of Product Testing and Validation at K2 Sports) will be our distinguished keynote speakers.  Additionally, there will be extensive networking opportunities with colleagues and exhibitors through the sessions, recreational activities, minor league baseball game, entertaining banquet and more.

The Regular Registration period ends May 31, 2012.  There will be no registration after June 17, 2012.

The Engineering of Sport 9 is being held at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center.  Hotel Reservations for rooms before, during and after the conference can be made through the following links at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center.  We have arranged for special conference rates.  There is also a special discounted rate for students.  Students reserving rooms through the student rate will be required to show a valid student ID upon check-in.

POSTER SUBMISSION DEADLINE

 

We will have poster sessions that coincide with afternoon refreshments.  It is not too late to present your research during one of these poster sessions.  The Deadline for submitting abstracts for poster sessions is May 9, 2012.   

 

To submit your poster abstract, please follow the submission guidelines on the conference website.  The same process applies to abstracts for posters as was used for full papers, just select “poster” instead of “paper” when entering your abstract.  The abstracts must be a maximum length of 250 words.
